Invitation to International Tea Day 2024 Celebrations - A global toast to tea
The Tea Board of Tanzania convened with the East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) board in a formal meeting to deliberate on tea-related matters.
The East African Tea Trade Association and Tea Board of Kenya engaged the media to create awareness of the International tea day.
Uganda Tea Association Consultative forum held on 3rd May 2024 in Kampala
Uganda Tea Association in collaboration with East African Tea Trade Association organized a meeting to address the current crisis facing Uganda Tea Producers and other EATTA Members countries arising from the declining tea prices.

Primary Functions
The primary functions of the association are:
- To facilitate the Mombasa Tea Auction operations Maintain discipline in the trade by ensuring compliance with the constitution.
- To promote the best interests of the Tea Trade in Africa.
- To compile and circulate statistical information to assist members in their operations.
- To help solve trade problems affecting members collectively.
- To organize social and educational programmes for members.
